I'm considering for an NAS so I could remove my 3.5" HDD. Thus reducing cable clutter in my PC casing and getting some space for a longer graphic card. Although I have yet to confirm buying one.
But if I am to get an NAS, I would like stream my MKV & MP4 Full HD files efficiently as if they ...

I just realized something. The GX 750W featured in all the reviews doesn't have the "Bronze" label both on the unit and the packaging. The review units are 80+ certified but mine is 80+ Bronze.

Sorry I got confused because here, IPS monitors are marketed as "Premium" or "IPS Panel" monitors. Non-IPS ones are merely referred as LCD/LED monitors.

IPS Monitor or LED Monitor?
I'm not a professional photographer nor video editor nor graphic designer. I don't work on complex 3D CAD/CAM either. Besides working with MS Office Suite and 2D CAD software, I just play games (e.g. Crysis 2, Dirt 3 etc), listen to my audio collections, watch 720p HD movies/videos and collecting ...

IPad vs Netbook vs Notebook
It's been over a year since the Ipad (now we have iPad2) was announced and it has reignited the tablet computer form factor. Some say it has revolutionized the way we surf the internet and it will be the only way to surf the internet in the future. The same statement was also said when the first ...

I May Need to Change My PSU (!?)
While several tech websites gave Cooler Master GX 750W favorable reviews and have recommended it to potential buyers, but one website did not. According to this article at Hardware Secrets, the GX 750W has a MAJOR flaw: high electrical noise and ripples at 80% (600W) and 100% load (750W).

Asus Xonar DG vs. DS vs. DX
Should I get a Xonar DG or Xonar DS for my gaming audio pleasure? DG seems to a better choice because it has the headphone amplifier feature and I do have a decent Sony MDR-XD200 headphone. But will the extra 2dB SNR and 192KHz sample rate support in DS make any difference?

I was always confused. According to my mobo's manual: "2 x PCIe x16 (blue @x16 mode, black @x4 or x1 mode)". How can it be an x16 slot when it is running at only max. x4 mode?

Re: Motherboard Hardware-based Energy Saving Feature
Correct, it works automaticly.
It essenitally runs the CPU at a lower clock rate most the time, then when you get more active it will bring it back up to the normal stock speed. :)
This will mean less power usage and waste heat :)

Re: Motherboard Hardware-based Energy Saving Feature
Intel SpeedStep is disabled in the BIOS by default. If I enable it, is that all I need to do if I want to reduce my PC's energy consumption?
