Hi Tom,
in the gauge definitions, the first two numbers correspond to placement based on a scale that is defined in size_mm. Any numbers following the placement coordinates are used to define the gauge's size relative to the size of the panel window. For example, in the line:
gauge08 ...

Hi Tom.
I've encountered this on one aircraft so far, though I don't remember which one it was off the top of my head. In my case, it had something to do with the size being defined on one of the gauges. I don't know which one, but I made the changes to each gauge for that window.

John,
I think that's a great idea. I've been going through all my installed aircraft (both default and 3rd party) and have been making the size and position changes to each, and then saving each panel.cfg file into a faux folder structure to mimic the install paths, to make it easy for me to ...

Hi Tom,
Glad to hear back from you, and sounds like you're coming along. How have you made out with the panels that weren't resizing for you, did you get them sorted out?

George's explanations are accurate. However, note that there are two ways to effect panel (including utility panel) position:

* window_pos=x, y [/list:u]

Hi Tom.
The window_size= value is a scale based on a percentage of the game's current resolution with a maximum value of 1.0 (100%). It takes two values: percentage of the game screen width, percentage of game screen height. So, for example, window_size=0.333, 0.5 tells the sim to draw that ...

I couldn't tell you, Tom. I'm running an nVidia 9800GT 1GB card in windowed mode, and my 2d main panel screens were the primary ones causing me problems. I agree that it's a stretching issue, but I can only speculate on why this fix has worked for me.

Awesome! Glad to hear it worked for you. I just wish there was an easier way than having to hand edit each panel.cfg file, but it's worth it to get the panels working again. I'd also recommend backing up any panel.cfg files that you fix to a disk or network location, so you have them ...

Hi again,
I probably should've pointed out that the window_size=x.xxx, x.xxx value does not exist in all aircraft panels. If it doesn't exist, you can add the value as
window_size=0.333, 1.000
That will force the horizontal scale to be 1/3 its scaled width while allowing it to ...
