Call of Duty - World at War runs at 5040x1050 but squished

Hello All,

It baffles me the CoD-WaW runs great at 5040x1050 but it's all squished like it takes the 1680x1050 and stretches it.

Has anyone ever had this and resolved it? I saw one other person but I dont know if he ever resolved it.

Please help.

World of Warcraft (WoW) - UI text scaling

Hi, The XP text and chat bubbles are apparently in a region where the addon developers cannot acces. So until Blizzard makes it available to the developers, it will stay this way.

Just search the Wow forums and you will find some info. :)

gz = grats = congrats :)

Anyways, if you have an nvidia, yo can go into your control panel by right-clicking the icon in your tray and selecting 'NVIDIA Control Panel'.

Then select 'Change flat panel scaling' and select the option 'Use my displays built-in scaling'.

I'm not sure how ...

I think it has to do with your scaling. you must set the scaling to be controlled by your monitor and not your gfx card I think but the experts can correct me if I am wrong.

Oh, and btw,...gz :)

Vista(32bit) versus XP(32bit)

So the answer then is to stick with XP. It's interesting what you say cause other people I have spoken to say that going vista is the way to go as after SP1, the performance has improved drastically. Also, not only for WoW, using DX10 is better. Is this statement accurate?

Vista(32bit) versus XP(32bit)

As far as I know, it will run on a 64bit OS but it will run in 32bit compatibility mode which doesn't really help.

I myself have a problem with the fisheye effect but only because I play a lot of WoW. this is a third person game but for game like Oblivion or HL or FEAR etc, he fish eye really helps you peripheral vision for immersion. :) So regarding the fisheye, it depends on the game you play.

Vista(32bit) versus XP(32bit)

Hi,

From all the research I have done, it has been determined that WoW is more CPU intensive than GPU intensive.

If I move to Vista(32bit), would I get better performance or should I rather wait for Windows 7? Another question is, moving to any other 32bit OS, would it make a bigger ...

You sure have a lot to say for someone who doesn't even own a th2g.
It's not that I'm a fanboy, it's just that you don't seem to get it. In the real world, money drives everything.
Gee, I would never have guessed. Thanks again for your insight.
Your solution is that developers should step far ...

That may be so but its becoming more and more evident that you are hellbent on discrediting anything I have said or will say. (Potential fanboy maybe?) Sorry, im only saying this cause you seem to be the only one who is adamant to debate rfactor with me or constantly points out that i am a small ...

Of course I can but it looks horrible.

Thanks Matt, you're probably right. I should probably have gone to the WoW forums. :)

Well, I'm clearly fighting a losing battle here and it seems that nothing I say makes any impact. But hey, thats how it goes in forums.

It seems that 70% of your statistics are made up, with the remaining 55% appearing incorrect.

When I started this thread I was not trying to start a spat ...
