I've played BF2 on my 226BW today and was a little annoyed by the FOV. Your tool worked perfectly, however it wasn't much playable cause i'm a sniper and zooming feels jerky and difficult so i found myself toggling the hack on and off everytime i want to zoom..

1680x1050 works for me. All i had to do is hex edit gfxconf.dat

gfxconf.dat contains a list of resolutions. I replaced 1280x800 with 1680x1050 and then started the game and picked 1680x1050 and everything works great.
I assume this will work for 1920x1200 too, just pick some rare resolution ...
