The game is Hor+, which is a good thing, compared to the previous Sims titles... But there doesn't seem to be any way to change the FOV directly, other than in the 'videocamera' mode (UI hidden), but even then the fov gets reset when you bring the UI back up, so that's not of much use.

Re: Ideal FOV calculation
Setting the FOV using the screen size and viewpoint isn't really ideal, unless you really want to get an out-the-window type view. In most games, this approach will result in extremely narrow zooms.
The idea isn't to match the screen to your eyes though. To get a complete panoramic view that way ...

Re: Just Cause 3 - Surround (Potential FOV params for moddin
JC3 appears to work mostly ok in triple-wide resolutions... when it doens't crash with a BSOD just as it finishes loading into the main menu. This happens about 50% of the time for me, but I think this tendency to crash is lessened if the game is started up at a lower resolution, then scaled up ...

Re: Assassin Creed 4 Black Flag
Well, I believe I've solved my problem, the fogless edges are gone, and not only that, I found out that I had been missing the pistol, swivel, harpoon and all other crosshairs entirely.... Harpooning got a LOT easier now.

Re: Kerbal Space Program
Thanks for the A grades! Being a long-time member of WSGF, the least I could do was ensure my own game would run on super wide resolutions as much as possible.
I don't have enough pixels here to test 4k, and my triple head setup is 3840x1024 (15:4), but theoretically at least, I see no reason why ...

Re: Assassin Creed 4 Black Flag
Ok, I tried FRAPS, and also got a black screen, so I had to resort to a less 'elegant' method of capturing the screen... well, at least it shows the issue.
This is while not holding the wheel. Nice and smooth fog all across the screen:

Re: Assassin Creed 4 Black Flag
I'm running the game here at 3840x1024, using both FW to remove the letterboxing, and Cheat Engine to adjust FOV.
It took some effort to get it set up right, but now it works great. However, I've been trying to find a solution to an issue, and so far haven't seen any mention of it at all in fact ...

i think a triple head setup is a sound investment even if you're only going to use it for work...
you get so much work space with 3 monitors, that it's nigh on impossible going back after you take the leap... especially for video editing/compositing and other timeline programs, having 3 screens ...
