I'm happy about hexes instead of squares. It'll feel a little weird for a Civ game -- more like one of the old Avalon Hill board games -- but I'm eager to see how that change works.
What I just don't know about yet... no stacking.

Re: Deus Ex : Human Revolution
The big difference between the original and the sequel for me was the loss of the intelligence that suffused pretty much every location of the original. Invisible War felt like a port of a console game made by people who played the first game and (for the most part) only remembered the actiony bits ...

SPORE Creature Creator Trial Edition: Detailed Report
I've really been enjoying using the Creature Creator -- I even plunked down the cash for the almost-complete version.
That said... Vert-? Sigh.
Am I the only one who's disappointed at the prospect that Spore itself may turn out to be yet another Vert- game? Did I only dream the response to ...

Bioshock: True VERT+ Tallscreen
Hmm -- I guess I should add that I wasn't checking because I wanted to register the name!
I had an idea for a web service some time back. When I checked WHOIS to see if it was taken, not only was the most obvious form taken, so was every close approximation. In a number of cases, they appeared ...

No Definition of Hor+ and Vert- in the FAQ?
I was reading over the FAQ (since I was about to give it as a link to some folks interested in widescreen gaming) when I noticed something funny: there's no definition given for "hor+" and "vert-" and the variations on these terms that describe widescreen implementations.
