Can someone explain me how to set a proper aspect ratio for a poor guy who play in 1024X768 on a 16/10 screen ( samsung 206BW) ?

The patch seems to fix the problem only for those playing the game in native rez , but those who have to rescale can't enjoy the widescreen anymore ...

What everyone else said... my 1280 x 800 works fine for me, and there's no HUD stretching, but I modded the HUD a little bit.

Just going to bump this once to see if anyone knows...

First of all, Red Faction looks amazing in widescreen... but I'm trying to run it at 1440 x 900 and you can't even see the HUD. Well, actually you can, but it's all bunched up in the upper lefthand corner of my screen.

I've been looking for ways to mod the HUD, but I can't find out how to do it ...

Personally, I think it's better to play it with black bars than stretched 20% horizontally. But that's my opinion of any game that stretches.
First off, I may be dumb, but I couldn't find any rules so I don't know if it's not allowed to bump an old topic around here...
