Re: AMD Omega Driver - What Matters to Gamers
PlP support is awesome.
I just don't have horizontal space on my desk to sport anything bigger than 3*21" widescreens,
so I recently switched to a 21:9 and rotated my old 19" to portrait orientation ( planning to upgrade to 23" at some point )

Re: Star Citizen Widescreen Gaming Support
I can report that the Hangar module is running in hor+ in Eyefinity resolutions, although you have to set the resolution in system.cfg
r_Fullscreen=1
r_height = 900
r_width = 4536
r_motionblur=0
cryengine is generally quite nice concerning widescreen

I made the switch from 11.9
I made the switch from 11.9 to 12.2 and was having several bluescreens per hour in normal 2d mode.
The settings also got fried, had to recreate the eyefinity group and save new profiles.
Uninstalling 12.2 and installing 12.1 didn't help, the bluescreens stayed.

I had no problems with enemy markers because I have a native resolution of 4320*900, but thanks to this thread I was able to configure my hud to my likings.

there is a setting for it.

Magicka works in Surround
I gave the Magicka demo a try and it works flawlessly in a bezel corrected triple mon resolution on Eyefinity.
The hud isn't centered, such as tutorial tips showing in the far right bottom corner, but for a small studio it's excellent surround support!
Definitely gonna get this, looks like lots ...

Re: World of Warcraft (WotLK Client)
it involves setting the large address aware flag, so that WoW can reserve up to 3 gigs of memory.
This is done by patching the WoW.exe with a program that was linked in the thread.
In the lost thread was a GMs response which said that this kind of patching is OK.

Re: Mass Effect 2 does NOT properly support Eyefinity
I prefer the other two to be blacked out, showing the desktop on them or some other background programs kind of destroys the immersion, especially in darker games.

Re: WSGF Review of the AMD Radeon HD 6870 & HD 6850
I finally got my PowerColor 6870 and had no troubles to get 3 monitors to work at once and forming an eyefinity group with miniDP>DP and Bizlink DP>VGA adapters. After configuring Bezel Compensation it resets to one screen though. it seems to save the bezel compensated resolution and its selectable ...

Re: WSGF Review of the AMD Radeon HD 6870 & HD 6850
Returned that one and picked up a Mini-DP -> VGA adapter. If I can get three monitors active at once, it reduces the DP monitor to 640x480 as the only resolution available...and no Eyefinity. I WAS able to get an Eyefinity setup just for kicks by reducing all three screens to 640x480. Not a good ...

Re: WSGF Review of the AMD Radeon HD 6870 & HD 6850
AMD has replaced one of the DL-DVI ports with a Single-Link DVI port (which drives up to 1920x1200), freeing up one clock.
Does it mean a DVI+DVI+HDMI connection is possible now for monitors <=1920*1200. Without any adapters, not counting a hdmi->dvi cable

Re: Stripped monitors for thin bezel
maybe it would be possible, but the different layers of the screen would fall apart, there will be major background light leakage and behind the metal casing there is still screenspace, just no active pixels, so you would not win much without actually cutting your screen and modifying the background ...

Re: Multi monitor + a fourth 10 inch monitor
does your motherboard have good old pci slots?
a pci card would probably suffice in displaying some 2d stuff on a 10"
there are also digital photoframes ranging from 7-10" which can be used as an usb display which expand your options
