Re: 2012 WSGF Award nominations

Or did i get that wrong and the games mentioned by GeneralAdmission are the only ones nominated?

GA's list are the games that have been 'gold certified' this year and as such are eligible for the Game of the Year award. Doesn't affect the other awards (In fact you want the opposite for the narrow ...

About 5 years of my life is defined by that game. I miss it. :( Don't think I've played any other FPS as competitively. All the practices and clan wars! Lovely stuff.

If you could take comparison

If you could take comparison screenshots for any cutscenes, that would be great, because this potentially has perfect widescreen support. :)

OK, I think I see where your main confusion is: the way we use the phrase "widescreen support"

What we mean is does the game literally run in a widescreen resolution? You say above you're running at 1920x1080. So the answer is YES the game DOES have widescreen support.

Now, we look at the ...

You'll have to troubleshoot

You'll have to troubleshoot the problem step by step. As Sh4dowking says, try it without Flawless Widescreen just to see if that's causing the problem.
If it still runs badly, then you'll have to change each graphical setting down one by one until it clears up. I'd start with anything to do with ...

It's considered pretty much unsupported I'm afraid. Shout at EA!

The only chance is to sweet talk one of our lovely devs, but on a game this old that's not incredibly popular, you'll be lucky if anyone considers it worth their time. :(

Yeah, it's definitely worth pointing out that this is a MAXIMUM width, not a FIXED width, so it will still scale on smaller displays.

I'm pretty strongly behind this change as it drastically enhances the readability of longer articles on larger displays.

As Skip said, the contest was started on honest grounds before the multi-monitor support was known to have issues. As far as Codemasters/AMD and we were aware, the game worked fine in multi-monitor resolutions. Their support in previous DiRT titles gave no ...
