Thanks for posting this. Very impressive gameplay, but i bet the game will be REALLY short (8-10hrs). That's gonna take a lot of beta testing

i would get a single 8800GTX over 2x8800GTS in SLI. Otherwise, buy the best you can afford -- that's the simplest approach.

if you're trying to buy ahead for crysis/cod4/gta4, you'll need the best you can get now OR wait and buy tomorrows hardware at tomorrows prices.

Vortex is now my wallpaper. Please post any other 1920x1200 wallpapers if they are as cool as that!

give up games and find a real world hobby. Seriously, i've given up gaming for the past couple of months and life is sooooo much better for it.

MGS PC was fantastic! MGS2 PC sucked. ;)

I thought MGS on PC was dreadful... the controls were console-ported. Boo! :(

But i will echo your suggestion on Hitman; Hitman 2 was probably the best gameplay wise.

Just a question, does anyone here notice the difference between having Blur quality on Low vs. High?

Not a lot at all. Both are pixelated for me.

I bought one ... whilst it's not in my main machine anymore and I bought it pretty much just for GRAW ... it enhanced it quite a bit and added to my enjoyment of the game ... even if GRAW wasn't the game I was hoping it to be.
No regrets ... don't feel sorry for me I don't feel I wasted my money ...

Here's my suggestions:

Ground Control - "sleeper hit" RTS without the boring base building. Graphics are great on low spec system.

Dawn of War - RTS, also looks good on low spec system.

Half Life 2 - looks good on low specs and despite all the flaws of the game, the gravity gun is ...

i can understand why people with low-end systems are complaining. My GX2 and E6600 (@3GHz) are HAMMERED by this game... but me no complain! :lol:

The graphics are very very sweet. And surprisingly the gameplay is tight! I'd dare say BETTER THAN GRAW?! And GRAW was 2006 GOTY for me, so that's ...

yeah those are 1024x768 because the stupid fear benchmark sets to that by default. :?

Here are the same benchies: 3GHz, all maxed out settings at 1600x1200 (coz i'm too lazy to apply hack to 16:10... please dont ban me for posting 4:3 scores) :P
That means 4xAA, 16xAF and Soft Shadows ON ...

I'd agree with Blinky's assessment of FEAR being GPU dependant. Here's some quick benchies i did yesterday when testing O/C'ing my E6600:
