1x 2GB 5870 + Arma2:OA + 3x 24" screens = success/fail?

Hi all,

This is an Eyefinity question, i have a 2GB AMD 5870 card and two 24" monitors, and i understand that Arma2/OA code is better performing these days, would the performance be good enough for me to consider getting a third monitor for Eyefinity gaming?

Regards

half life 2, custom?

i have to disagree there.

most desktop (as opposed to LCD-TV's) that i have found are 1280x800.
panasonic and sony both have ultra-notebooks using 1280x768, but as you say; most laptops use 1280x800.

these split standards really bug me!
first their is WXGA which can be either 1280x800 ...

half life 2, custom?

Actually, 1280x800 is a 16:10 ratio res. And 1280x720 is a 16:9 ratio.

1280x768 is a sort of halfbreed of the two: neither a true 16:10 or 16:9... which makes me wonder why its just about the only widescreen res available in the lower screen sizes (it's the de facto standard for 17 ...
