Optional: In the files available on PC Gaming Wiki use the 16_9 - 1080p - Steam Version:
Makes the game render in 1080p without up scaling from 720p.
16:10 mode is just squeezed from 16:9. However, hex editing will be needed before using the Cheat Engine table in the attachment above (the one that has with Field of View in it) for proper aspect rendering.
In the two Sonic executables, search for 00 00 00 00 00 00 F8 3F and change that double with 00 00 00 00 00 00 F0 BF. Then open it up and Cheat Engine, load the table from it and press F2 to enable the fix and F3 to disable it.
For the optional FOV, press Ctrl with a combination of keys with these effects:
- (Decrease FOV)
= (Increase FOV)
Backspace (Reset FOV)
In the files available on PC Gaming Wiki use the 21_9 - 1080p - Steam Version:
Makes the game render in 1080p without up scaling from 720p, changed the Aspect Ratio to 21:9 and changed the resolution to 2560x1080 and 3440x1440.
Flaw: the Background Graphics are rendered to 16:9, see the solution in the baseline widescreen section to fix it.
