Due to the lack of native 1280x768, it may just miss Certification. Is 1280x768 an available option in your Windows display properties? If not, the game may only be looking for available Windows resolutions, and there is no penalty there.

Great DR, especially for a first one. Thanks for taking the time to do it.

Yes, the monitor I'm testing on has that resolution available in Display Properties. The game just has a selection of common or popular modes listed from within, the rest by config editing.

The ReadMe for the rating calculator was not clear whether a 'working' mode was an officially supported mode selectable from within the game, or simply worked when that mode was accessed by any means available.

For the grade, the game must be an officially supported from the game.

Heredid you post a list of supported resolutions, is this what you can select in game without any changes in the ini?

If it doesn't than it was a B+? Dunno that for sure.

Right. Must admit I'd never heard of '15:9 - 1280x768' as a common mode and aspect ratio before.
I've updated the original post with new score and values. The score is C+ if I fill it in as with new knowledge, but if I say it has 'full' support but configured by .ini file then it gets B+, go figure.

Does 1280x768 work fine through .ini edit?

Yes.
Here is a screen shot when I use the following lines in the .ini

cvar.displayPhysicalScreenRatio = 15.0/9.0;
cvar.fullscreenSizeX = 1280;
cvar.fullscreenSizeY = 768;

Edit: I've stuck this image in with the review in the ratio section.

Then .ini should be our "official" solution, and 1280x768 should be considered to be supported in this manner.

One last question - you said that using something under 1024x768 causes problems with the HUD. Does this apply to 1280x720? And if so, can you provide screenshots?

The game will either get a B or a B+ depending on your answer.

All those resolutions are fine, in fact those ones are officially supported. When you force down to 800x600 or lower, a couple of menus get a bit tight on screen and the bottom of the HUD overlaps a little. Here's a screen shot, but it is not in the supported range nor a wide screen resolution.
