Would also be amazing if someone could look into unlocking the framerate. Currently it's capped at 62.5 but sometimes goes a bit higher when you tab back. I tried fiddling around with 6f 12 83 3c but it didn't change anything.

Yeah, a fix would be great. Why Ubisoft didn't implement UWD is beyond me.

Yep. Just booted it up. Extremely disappointed. Ubisoft has generally been great with ultrawide support. Don't know what happened here. Oh well. Guess it's back to TD2 in the meantime.

I've edited Hex files and managed to get cutscenes and gameplay working in 21:9 but, as someone else pointed out, the HUD is messed up. Very disappointing. That's not even to mention the horrendous plastic stiff facial animations (seriously, it's a huge step back from the 2012 version)

So for what it's worth the game does actually have some kind of broken 21:9 support. Except it's only for 2560x1080. If you're using a 3440x1440 monitor, you can set a custom resolution of 2560x1080 and the aspect ratio option in the video settings stops being greyed out. You can then choose 21:9. So it looks like it's just a case of adding resolutions like 3440x1440 to the whitelist of 21:9 resolutions ingame.
Edit: Looks like Liberation has an aspect ratio option but it doesn't appear to actually have any other option than 16:9 even at 2560x1080.

Nice! We're one step closer to getting an actual 21:9 fix going

Here's a cobbled together fix based off the AC IV plugin in Flawless Widescreen. It's not great but should do the job until someone fixes it properly. Just copy the contents into the Flawless Widescreen install directory. Once ingame you can choose the aspect ratio 21:9. Seems to work well in gameplay but the ingame cutscenes are still locked to 16:9.
If it doesn't work, try changing the aspect ratio back to 16:9 then to 21:9 and it should kick in.

Isn't it leaving you with a stretched HUD?

Managed to get both gameplay and cutscenes at 21:9, but it's maxed out at 2560x1440 using flawless widescreen. Hoping someone can make a proper fix for 3440x1440

Hmmm I tried your fix and it doesn't work for 5760x1080 -> 3x 1080p screens in Nvidia Surround? I looked and it seems like it does not find the process if you look at FW UI and the white area that show the read outs it does not show the regular injection info when a fix takes and updates X process.
I am using a native Uplay version of the game legit/bought.
Any ideas? Thanks
