The game works in 21:9, but with some problems. Cutscenes are with 16:9 black bars, and on gameplay the screen don't fit entirely, looks like it stops a few centimeters from the edge, creating a border on the sides of the screen. Anyone knows how to solve it?

I've tried hex editing and it works fine but i felt the default 2560 x 1080 to be sharper but i maybe wrong here's a screenshot:

Hm? Your screenshot is 16:9 aspect ratio.

So you were able to remove the black borders from cutscenes? If so, what exactly did you edit?

I haven't tried it with cut scenes yet but i'm sure they should be full screen

Yes, Have you tried overwriting the .exe and seeing if it makes a difference in from my previous post?

Your .exe didn't do anything for me. It's the cutscenes that need fixing, regular gameplay is already 21:9. Your video doesn't show any cutscenes.

Yeah, i know its been months but i haven't found a potential work around at the moment, seems like a professional would have to sort this out

I guess you are doing right...although I can not understand the technical detail...
But my problem is that the resolution of my monitor is 2960X1440, not a very standard 21:9 ultrawide.
So... how should I edit the binary file with a hex editor? Which bytes should I edit to eliminate the left and right black bars in cutscenes?
Can you help me please?

I tried hex editing Nino2.exe as you proposed, but i have some issues:
- cutscenes have now black bars at bottom and top
- the characters seem to be vertically squished.
