The Technomancer

Post by mojobear »

Hey guys,

New to the forum but very old to multimonitor gaming.

Looks like technomancer works with multimonitor!!!! WOOHOO! :rockout: :rockout:

If it was the usual WSGF it would get a silver rating. The HUD is not centered, but the cutscenes are centered with black side monitors. I dont know why the reviews are so low for this game. I love the atomsphere and the sci-fi feel is excellent.

ALSO for those running crossfire - AFR friendly works so far. Only 10 minute into the game but no flickering, excellent FPS. The only thing you have to turn off is TAA to FXAA, otherwise you get this strange image distortion.

Give it a try on steam. Only 10 GB download, and not much of a pain to refund.

Well I'm very biased because I LOVE sci-fi and post-apoco RPGs...which makes me super biased because this feels like a sci-fi post-apoco RPG lol.

Its as you would expect...there are elements that are a bit rough, like the dialogue and character animations are not as polished as the very expensive games. But if it was compared to witcher 2 or dragons age origins in that department its about the same. The combat does take some time getting used to and needs to feel more precise, but its not game breaking and I'm hopeful it can be tweaked with future updates.

Story feels really good and environments are crafted with care. The different areas of the map have their own feel and architecture. Large and divergent skill tree, choices that matter, and a nice crafting system are also noteworthy.

Overall as it is now I would give it a 6-6.5/10 IF you are an RPG fan, but arent into SCI-Fi, post-apoco. If are like those elements, then I would give it a solid 7-7.5/10 on the mojobear scale of subjectiveness. The bad game press is WAY too harsh in my opinion. Give it a try, you might be surprised. Plus, the fact that there is horizontal+ native makes me very happy. Icing on the cake was that crossfire works with AFR friendly....and scales SUPER well with no anomalies that I can notice as long as you keep TAA off.
