ok so this game does work in nvidia surround, if you set the aspect ratio to 683:128 it lets you choose 4098x768. the hud is not centered and it wont let me choose a higher resolution like 5760x1080. anybody have any luck getting a higher resolution in surround?

Yeah I have the same issue. The gun also doesn't doesn't adjust to the FOV and remains the same.

Glad I saw this - I had my credit card out to buy it- I play at 7680x1440. Will not buy it until it is fixed.

I pre-bought back in April. Running eyefinity @ 5760x1080. Moved the FOV slider all the way to 130 for the time being. Still not optimized. Seems like we need a widescreen fix plugin for this one as well. Seems to be just like Wolfenstein the new order and the old blood. That issue aside, I must admit, using the Radeon R9 390X 8GB with this and my core i7-3770k with everything on ultra seems to run very smoothly even without upgrading the drivers to the new ones. Still on 16.3.2 In this day and age, how come the devs can't include these fixes for the amount of money we all spend on these great games only to have them look flat on our expensive display set ups!

Dude go out and buy it ASAP the game is amazing! I have 3X 1080p setup and am playing it on one screen and its a 100% worth it. Doom 4 is 100% the re birth of Doom probably the best FPS in a long time, Shadow Warrior 2013 would be my next favorite.
Seriously you never felt anything like it when you play it, it makes you feel alive as if all the other FPS had you in a coma

the speed, fluidity, and freedom of the gameplay is outstanding.
Man if they can add popper multi screen I am going to freak out for its amazing as it is on single screen and I am spoiled like all of us on multi.
Anyways the Doom 4 hype is 100% real man all PC gamers have to own it or FPS fans.

Glorious 21:9

I suggest everyone put the following console commands in their launch options:
+com_skipIntroVideo 1 +set m_smooth 0 +menu_advanced_AllowAllSettings 1
The last one will let you select Nightmare graphics settings without being restricted to your video card.

This is very disappointing, but expected. Wolfenstein the New Order and Old Blood looks bad at 5760x1080 without the fix, yet Rage looks great. All built on the same engine. I guess we'll have to wait and see if the gentleman that runs flawless widescreen is kind enough to fix this game as he has done so many others. If not for him I would've probably went back to one monitor a long time ago. There's nothing like playing a game at 100 + FPS on three monitors it sucks that the game developers don't care enough about the wide screen gaming community to fix these issues prior to launch.

Well, we're used to this by now. So here's hoping for fix coming soon.
Not sure if this would work, but even thought the game is using id Tech 6, maybe trying to get the flawless widescreen fix for Wolfenstein to work on Doom would work. Although Wolfenstein was running on id Tech 5.

Same shit, different day.
Although this isn't unexpected, it still puzzles me why games offer aspect ratios like 16:3 in the menu, while they're completely broken.

Because the resolution listen isn't hard coded it's pulled from the display drivers, then they just break the list down and calculate aspect ratios automatically. A game that hard codes it's list of resolution is by default a bad/restrictive game.

Hi guys, just thought I'd register and post up some triple-screen info for Doom. Attached pictures are of my 5760x1080 setup. The game is very "flat" as the previous triple-screen poster showed. The hud and most pop-up info displays stretch across all three monitors as well. I'm hoping FW releases a fix for Doom!
Also note that the menu FOV option is limited to 130, but I found that FOV can go as high as 150. Open the console with ~, command is "g_fov 150" but if you save any changes in the graphics menu, FOV will revert back to 130.

Note to everyone: Don't set the FOV to something ridiculous like 130 - the engine handles the FOV calculation 100% correctly, 90 degrees FOV in the settings menu will result in a horizontal FOV of 144 degrees. (5760x1080)
It's the aspect ratio calculations (and artificial limiting) that is the problem.

Ok, thanks for that info. I just donated to you, thanks for making many of my games more enjoyable & it looks like Doom is in the works!
