Performance with 7xx series cards in SLI using latest drivers is REALLY poor. I'm only getting 60% utilization with both cards.

I really hope someone can fix the black bars during the cutscenes/dialogue. Totally infuriating. Ive had it bug out a couple of times and show behind the black bars for a few seconds and there is no reason for them to be there. It has to be a bug, right?

The performance with my 980's with the latest drivers is non-existent. The driver is bugged and/or the witcher 3 flag for the game doesn't work as intended. I've tried changing the flag to sleeping dogs and daylight/evolve and it gives me a massive boost in FPS, but flickering everywhere, making it not an option.

I see I'm not the only one in this boat.

I'm also having this issue with my 780's, fullscren @ 5760x1080 and they only average about 50-60%
Also having issues at 1080p where I'm barely getting 60fps on max settings

Guess I'll try Toothless Spoon's sli bit when I get home to try and see how that does performance wise.

I did manage to get the game running at 60fps on my system within the GPU usage limit of 60%, (pair of 980s to 5040x1050 resolution), I did it by settings all the graphics settings as low as they would go, seemed to do the trick. Really CDPR and NVIDIA, my system can just about max out Crysis 3 at that resolution, and that game still looks better then most games out the last couple of years.

Ok, so I tested the new drivers on my older system, with titan Sli (just normal titans), 3770k @ 4.4 and sli works in the game with 90+ usage. That system is only hooked up to my TV, so I've tried 1080p = 60+ solid / DSR 1.5% = 40 - 60. That's with everything on ultra and Hairworks on.

My 980 sli system however, still wont run sli in the game. In fact I get negative scaling if I have Sli enabled. There is something going on with the driver/system. Both systems have had a clean install of windows. Some peeps on the gefore forums tend to think it could be related to overclocked gpus etc.

my 7950 gets about 40 fps at medium settings, kinda disappointing for how the game looks but at least 21:9 works for game play. Now if only there was a way to get the bars to go away when I talk to someone

I am using 2 G1 GTX 970s in SLI and 3 BenQ 2420TX monitors. With bezel correction on, my resolution is 6000x1080.
Every other game I can play maxed out at over 60fps at 6000x1080. For some reason The Witcher 3 doesn't give me over 30 fps even on the lowest graphics settings. The Ultra setting yields 20 to 25 fps. Something can't be right here. It's as if I'm only using 1 graphics card.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one with these issues.

I have 2x Gigabyte G1 GTX970s in SLI with an Intel Core i7 4790K on three 10:16 monitors at 5040x1050. I can run GTA V almost maxed out at a stable 60FPS. The Witcher 3 I get between 30/40 fps at rather medium settings, taking the hair thing off, ofcourse :)

I also noticed that when I use the "Maximized" option I get about 50 to 60% GPU usage on both cards. When I set it to "Windowed without Borders" I get 99% GPU usage on both cards but absolutely no difference in performance and FPS. So I believe that both cards are still just under used.

I also noticed other weird stuff like when I stand on grass, if I move the camera arround, flowers and nicer grass just appears and disappears constantly right arround the character. Realy strange!

And the final thing which probably has nothing to do with graphics but I have to hit X (of my XBOX controler) like 50 times to skip one cutscene. It just scips a few seconds forward. Realy annoying.

Anyway, uninstalling the 352.86 drivers first thing tomorrow and getting back to the 350.12 drivers. If The WItcher 3 works better with those, great. If not, back to GTA V for me and no TW3. It was just a gift with my GPU's anyway. But it is a shame, the game looked promising.

Because Crossfire is not Supported yet i'm playing on a Single 290.
had to reduce a lot of details to get 35-45 FPS overall. But the Game is working and it's a lot of fun.

there are still a few Bugs in Eyefinity...
Some Tutorials are not Center Limited an pop up on the left Monitor. But they're rare, and not really a Problem.
More of a hassle is when you play a round of Gwint the "your bet" slider is stuck between middle and right monitor.

Running 780's in SLI, and the game is clearly not using both GPU's as I'm not getting any scaling. So, it appears to be an nVidia thing.

Hey kids, thought I'd give you an update on my experience with W3 and Nvidia drivers.

So basically, I turned surround off via NCP and selected Maximize 3D performance settings and the game scales perfectly in fullscreen @ 2560x1440. For some reason the game/driver hates surround, which hopefully they will fix soon. With everything on ultra and HW at 4 x MsAA I get 60+ fps (2 x MsAA nets me 80-90fps) with 2 x 980s. I updated the forums @Geforce, so hopefully they can get on this shit.

With the new 1.03 patch I'm finally getting 60+ fps on high at 1080p (70-80% GPU usage) with my 780's instead of 30 fps, however 5760x1080 still only does 30fps with 60% GPU usage.

I can confirm this theory. I have tried turning of NVidia Surround and on just one screen the SLI scaling seems ok. But the combination SLI+Surround is just not optimised.

I've also posted this on the Geforce forum. Let's see if something happens.

Yup, in single monitor, out of Surround, usage maxes out on my SLI. In surround, it's 50% ish.

Supposedly there's a driver fix for Kepler cards that's coming. Not sure when though.

Someone should let ManualG over at the nVidia forums know about what we discovered about Surround.

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers? One of my rigs with 2 Gigabyte G1 GTX 970s is working correctly.

I really hope someone comes up with a 21:9 fix for the cut-scenes soon!

On my 3440x1440 display, everything works great except for cutscenes, which are forced into 16:9 and hence break emersion tremendously by adding black bars on either side of the screen.
