Hello Everyone - 3 screens on one?

Post by Shredder Steve »

Hi, I would like to introduce myself to the WSGF community. I am Shredder Steve, and i love playing games in triple wide eyefinity. This is not for everyone, and i would like to show those on a single screen what they may have in store by upgrading to 3 screens.

Welcome to WSGF. There's a simple way to show people with one monitor how it's like on multi-mon.

You can do it though videos, but if they want to try before they buy you can create custom resolutions with wider aspect ratios.

30" (2560x1080 [21:9], 2560x1138 [9:4], 2560x480 [32:9]) note, you'll need a pretty big monitor to really appreciate the wider aspect ratios.

Honestly, 21:9 is the sweet spot (IMHO) for amount of FOV and resolution.

Hello Suiken_2mieu, thank you for the welcome. I agree that 21:9 is a great sweet spot and i intend to upgrade my center screen to that ratio. 24'' 16:9 works fine on the sides for me.

What game experiences have been improved the most for you by using triple screens?

3rd person games, shooters, and simulations (racing, mech, flying, etc.) are probably the best experiences I've had with multi-mon. I know some people really like strategy games on multi-mon and I can see why.
