AMD vs NVIDIA for tri-monitor "eyefinity" setups

I'm aware of Catalyst Control Center from AMD for their standard Eyefinity setup.
What I'm wondering is: Is it possible to achieve the same setup and superwide resolutions with a Nvidia GTX card? Does anyone have experience with this?
I've always been an NVIDIA guy, but if AMD is the only route for Eyefinity, I might go that route.
