It is the third game in the Plants vs. Zombies series, developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts. The player can take control of their own plants or zombies from a third person perspective in either a cooperative or competitive multiplayer environment.
To progress in the game, players must complete challenges unique to each class. These challenges, once completed, will level up the character allowing the player to access features such as upgrades, new characters, weapon skins and character clothing.

Can we get comparative screenshots for the game? There's not a demo, and I don't see spending $40 for a game I won't end up playing.

You can play the game for free for 72 hours if you download it now from Origin.

I played it at first with 3 screens but found I couldn't easily see the information they had spread out at the extreme left and right, so I ended up playing it in windowed mode on the center screen. A shame, since it ran nice and fast in nVidia surround. Unfortunately, I find I do that with most of the games I play because of problems like that.

This is one reason it got a B grade for Multi-Mon, the spanned HUD. I'm slowly converting to 21:9 as a middle ground.
