Recommend Surround?

I had my first triple screen experience with Eyefinity and though I love the concept it has left me feeling repeatedly frustrated. From difficulty in acquiring displayport to hdmi adaptors and then experiencing screen tear. I have thought that this should not be this hard again and again.

So before I jump ship I want to know is the grass greener in the green camp? Does surround have any technical issues when setting up surround gaming with 3 monitors all with hdmi inputs only? Gaming in 5760 x 1080 what is the minimum nvidia card configuration I should look at budget wise?

Most importantly, for those of you who have had both, which do you recommend for multi screen gaming AMD or Nvidia and why?

i started triple screen on amd, but got so sick of tearing, vsync issues and dodgy connections and swapped to nvidia and never regretted it.

I can't speak from personal experience, having been on AMD for the past 4 generations, but I still recommend NVidia hands down whenever asked. They've got adaptive v-sync, they've got frametimes under control, and they don't require DisplayPort.

Basically, everything I complain about with AMD has been addressed by NVidia.
