XFX Radeon 7870 Eyefinity

Post by gskr3 »

Hi everyone.

I just built a desktop with the XFX Radeon 7870 Video card. I'm trying to have a 5 monitor Eyefinity setup. The problem that i am having is that only 2 of the monitors are showing an image but the other 3 wont display an image. When i go to the windows config it shows that all of them are recognized but the other 3 are disabled. when i try to enable them i get a message " Unable to Save Display Settings"

What am i doing wrong? the video card supports Eyefinity and has all the outputs needed for all of the monitors to be connected.

Thanks

What Connections do you use ? 2x DVI 1x HDMI and 2x Mini DP ? What Connection do you Monitors have ?

That does not work, you cannot run 2x DVI + HDMI except on Sapphire FLEX edition Cards!
We gonna send it to outa space!

Is the image haldi posted your video card?
How many monitors are supported on the box? (Does it say 4 on the eyefinity badge)
Which monitors are displaying? Just try the 2x DVI to make sure they both work together.
Are the mini dp adapters ACTIVE (You should have gotten 1 active & 1 passive in the box)
Are you using an adapter for the HDMI? (HDMI to DVI) I think this one is usually passive
With all 5 which 2 are actually showing? if only DVI then maybe it is the adapters....

Just trial and error to see what combo's work (Try 2 DVI & 2 mini dp)

Also do you have the EXACT PART NO...
Here are the models XFX make (bottom RHS tab)
http://products.xfxforce.com/en-us/Grap ... -787A-CDBR

there is more than one that supports 4 displays max
Check second page down in the Overview Tab
