My first real video.

Post by suiken_2mieu »

I've finally started making videos about games. This is first of many that, hope you guys like it. Wouldn't mind some feedback.

It's about the surround features in Project 64, but focusing solely on Zelda Ocarina Time so that I can do other games on the N64 Platform. Enjoy.

Like the video a lot :onethumb:

Would it be possible to upload in "original" format? Also I heard popping sounds during the vid, was that just me?

I cant up load this video in the original, but, I mastered it in 720p, but videos from now on could.

The popping sounds could be from a variety of things. I'm not sure if it's Crossfire issues (Project64 doesn't like Xfire).
But I've also had similar issues with WDM/KS Drivers in Cakewalk SONAR 8 that I use for music recording.

Works unexpected fine in Triple Monitor!

So this is because of "Project 64" so every game should be doing similar ?

not every, some games are broken by the feature.

:o I had no idea this could be done until you made this topic. This is a so great, I think it makes it worth going back and playing these n64 gems over again. Do you know if its possible to get 3d vision working with them? Also, have you tried Goldeneye yet?

To enable Eyefinity mode is the same to enable widescreen mode? or is there more hack or mod to get use in eyefinty?

EDIT

I ended up doing work in surround

Haven't tried 3D Vision, but it works with iZ3D. GoldenEye is sadly borked.

To get widescreen to work:

go to graphics configuration
Uncheck "Hide Advanced Settings"
Click OK and the go back into graphics configuration
Go to Advanced
Then Check "Adjust game aspect ratio to match yours"
Click Apply

Then make sure you are playing in a Eyefinity / Surround Resolution and you're golden.

I re-uploaded this video with it's original aspect. I didn't realize I captured the video at its native resolution. I cleaned up the commentary as well.
