Who has the upper hand these days -- AMD, NV, or is it tied?

I know that AMD had a better multi-monitor solution in the beginning -- they focused on multi-monitor setups first, while NV focused on 3D gaming. I've recently gone through the process of setting up both an AMD and an NV box, and it seems to me that AMD's setup process is a tad more user friendly than NV's, but that's mostly thanks to a few features, like a specific option to put the task bar on any one screen.
How many games are there that only support NV Surround or AMD Eyefinity, but don't work equally well with both?

nearly all games work with both or don't work at all... there are a few... i think Deus Ex had a bugged UI with AMD cards in the first patch...

Nvidia now has 'Nvidia Surround 2.0' which is a lot easier to use and user-friendly than the previous iteration. As far as AMD goes, I do not know, I apologize, I have not used AMD for my surround setup.

AMD definitely had a head start on NVidia with Eyefinity, but these days I feel like they're pretty evenly balanced. I think AMD edges out NVidia on the front end UI and ease of use, but I think NVidia has got the upper hand on overall rendering quality as they don't suffer as much from microstutter and have beaten the tearing problem.

One other item to consider is that it looks like AMD has a lock on all 3 next gen consoles, so starting early next year I expect console ports to work well on AMD out of the box.
Having said that, both solutions are good at this point.

I think it is also pretty undeniable that AMD beats Nvidia in performance at pretty much every price point this generation (That's just raw framerates now, nothing else, so don't hate please). And of course I do agree that there are other things to consider.
When I first started with PC gaming as a small chap, I wouldn't even consider AMD but as I became more educated in high-end PC hardware, the tables actually turned, simply due to better price/performance, especially this generation.
