What's the point of 5x1P setup?

Pretty much all video games nowadays use Hor+ scaling, allowing 3x1L setups to have a very wide FOV as compared to a 5x1P setup, which only has a FOV a little wider than a single screen setup. Is there anyone who can give a good reason as to why spend extra money on 2 more monitors?

For some people, 3x1L is just too wide but 1x L to narrow, maybe the 21:9 aspect ratio monitors might suit their needs better?
Some people like the immersion of a large wall of pixels, some use it for productivity using multiple monitors to work.

I'm sure someone whom has such a setup will be able to share their reasons with us here.

Personally, I don't think 5x1P is such a bad idea. Some people don't like the big FOV since it makes the fisheye effect so obvious. You still get a pretty high FOV (see the FOV calculator) and you get a HUGE resolution of course which some people like.

I'm not saying I would do it but if bezels weren't a problem (because you would have 4 bezels intruding on your playing screen space, and I imagine they would get in the way of HUDs in most games), I'd seriously consider it at some point if I had lots of money.
