Nvidia Surround with one 27" two 24" monitors

Post by tinmann »

I was thinking about buy a 27" Asus VE278 monitor, using it as a center panel in a Nvidia Surround set up along with two 24" satellite panels and I'm not really sure how they would match up as there dimensions are somewhat different. I am currently using three Asus VS248H-P 24" monitors and their dimensions are 22.57" x 16.23" x 8.09" . For the life of me I don't know how they got these numbers because I've pulled a tape in every direction you can and have never came up with those numbers. The Asus VE278 is 25.32" x 17.54" x 8.66" which makes it over an inch taller than the VS248H-P and 2 and 3/4 inches wider. I'm concerned about the addition of height of the larger screen making my setup look odd. I'd appreciate any input from members that have mixed different sized monitors. Thanks

You can't setup Surround with monitors that have different resolutions. If you want to go with the setup you are proposing, then you need to go with AMD.
Philips BDM4065UC(3840x2160) Acer Z35(2560x1080@200hz); 980 Ti Hybrid @stock ; 6700K 4.6ghz (1.35v)/D15; 16GB 3200mhz; Asus Maximus Ranger VIII; AX860; 1TB 960 EVO; 750GB 840 EVO; Teufel Concept D 500; Sennheiser HD6XX; Windows 10 (latest build)

Both AMD and NVIDIA solutions require you to run your monitors at the same resolution. If they are all 1080p panels, you're good. If the 27" panel is 2560x1440, then it will run that one scaled.
