Dell Releases U2913WM 21:9 Monitor... WSGF Buys One

I got wind that the Dell U2913WM 21:9 Ultra Widescreen was available for sale this morning, by way of a tweet this morning. It pointed out the DP 1.2
OUTPUT on the panel, and linked to the
product page. In addition to the DP 1.2 output, it also has a Mini-DP input. This would be welcome to all the AMD users who have Mini-DP outputs, and the MacBook Pro users (like myself) who have Thunderbolt outputs.
I've got a panel on order, and will start testing games (and playing) as soon as it gets here. Expect a lot of news, videos and updates once we get the panel in house.

Gief, Gief!!! 3 of these baybies!!!!!!!!!!!!! What panels are they using exactly? TNT or IS? I searched around but coudn't find this info;))

2560x1080 AH-IPS panel that can be daisy-chained with DP 1.2. I forsee in my crystal ball Skip getting a larger desk in the future...

I'm going to see if I can fit three on the WSGF Stand. Maybe if we get enough donations I can talk the wife into a couple more. ^_^

and right after i just bought a 2560x1440 27" PLS LCD too. Damn. Id love to see this in action though.

does Daisychain Support 3x 2560x1080 ? i tought 1920x1080 works... But 2560?

Up to 4x 1920x1200 via DP1.2
DP1.2 bandwidth = 17.28 Gbit/s
4x1920x1200 = 13.27Gbit/s
3x2560x1080 = 11.94Gbit/s
Should be a non issue.

Talk about reducing cable clutter. I am going to test with one of my 1080p panels, so I can report out on how it works. Got a shipping notice yesterday. Will be here on Tuesday Nov-20.

Looking forward to this review. Looks really nice. This could be what I have been looking for. I am getting tired of having to tinker around with every game so it will work with my Eyefinity setup.

) . Have you received yours ?
It is not supposed to be precisely a gaming monitor so it would be good to know if it is "gaming compatible": limited input lag and decent reactivity.

After watching the video I want one. Currently I don't use a monitor stand, but probably need one for such a setup. Would need to place the three u2311h above the u2913, just like skip did. Have to wait until this monitor is released in Europe though. Would love to play games at 2560x1080 to have a middle ground option performance wise.
