Soldier of Fortune 2 Widescreen 16:9 problems

Hello, I just installed Soldier of Fortune 2 Gold Double Helix. I changed the custom width and custom height values to 1366 and 768 and the seta r_mode to -1. However, my health meter is now cutoff and I cannot see it. Is there some option I can change or some mod that can correct this problem? Thanks much!
