FOV fix for Dead Space 1

Hello all
I was wondering how to fix the FOV for Dead Space. I saw the detailed report and it looks like DS1 is getting all kinds of widescreen awards but for the life of me I can't figure out how to fix the FOV. I tried the Widescreen Fixer program but it crashes on me when I hit the activation key. I'm not very smart (scored 82 on my last IQ test). By all indications I am just barely functioning on planet Earth so I will try hard if someone can please help me with this FOV problem.
