My old 5770 still manages to run older games in triplescreen but it is clearly lacking the horsepower to run Battlefield 3 and Project CARS. Unfortunately, i'm budget limited so the new card would have to cost around $200. What would you recommend?

For what resolution?

Maybe a 2GB 6950? Or a 570GTX?

a HD6950 costs around 270$ (on newegg)
for 200$ you could get a 6870 2gb.

If you wan't to go Nvidia you need SLI for surround. So you'd have to buy 2x gt550 for each 130$ which i don't reccomend!

i'd go with a 6950(2gb) even if it costs more !

heard that the 7870 that will release soon (haha, soon.... maybe next week, maybe in 3 months!) will cost 400$, so that might not be an option. and the 7770... welll, only 1gb Vram! 160$ but the performance is worse than a HD6850 ! ca 15-20% performance gain vs a HD5770

edit: Ibrin just published his review of the HD7770 ! there are also Benchmarks for a 6850

3 X 1680x1050.

I would prefer to stick to a single card solution. It's quite amazing how much mileage i got out of a $139 card...

You dont have to wait anymore! The 7850 launched today! 250$ MRSP(or how you write that?)
2GB Vram. Performance in single screen is 10% below gtx570

Not sure whats better for Eyefinity. 6950 or 7850. Maybe Ibrin does a 7850 review!

My best hope is for a price

My best hope is for a price drop on the 7800 series once nVidia starts releasing their cards. The current prices of the 7000 cards show how much we need competition.
