Usage is simple. Launch the tool, select your FOV from the combobox, play the game.

Things left to be sorted out:
-Weapon zoom FOV DONE
-Sprint FOV DONE
-Slight camera jerk on weapon change DONE

Feedback is welcome.

Nifty little tool deserves a triple thumbs-up: :twothumb :onethumb

Strangely I never use the crossbow zoom myself, but I do sprint a lot. Guess I should try to just... stop and take aim, sometimes.

No worries. I've got the sprint and zoom FOVs fixed. Next version of the tool should roll out today or tomorrow. ;)

Tool has been updated. Sprint and Zoom FOVs are now automatically corrected for your chosen FOV. New download added to first post.

Is the camera jerk on weapon change because the game overwrites the FOV when you changes weapons, and you have to overwrite it again?

It's a single-player game so anti-cheat is not a problem. If the cause is the issue above, I'd like to get in touch with you on making it stop. I'll send you a PM.

Tool has been updated with a fix for the camera jerk, plus in-game hotkeys to switch camera orientation.

Dopefish, thanks for the input. I dropped you a PM. ;)

I just successfully downloaded and extracted the .zip with the file intact and exactly matching the original on my system, so the archive is not corrupt. I also certainly didn't code any viruses, which makes me think either your download got corrupted or it's Avira's fault for the no icon showing up.

Here are file hashes to compare:

Virustotal brings up 3 false positives:

If a re-download doesn't work, I guess that means you'll have to tell your AV to ignore the file. Let me know how things sort out.

Hashes are ok, I had to add an exception to my AV. That's odd, I'm using other FOV tools with hotkeys and none of them gave me false positives. Ah well.

Version .4 introduced 2 new functions: the hotkeys and a new memory write that disables a portion of the game's code. I guess either could be the trigger. Ah, AV heuristics, how I loathe thee...

Aside from the AV hiccup how does the new version of the tool work?

Working great also in the Lost Adventures DLC.
I can't quite shake the feeling that something's off with the sprint FOV, but I don't blame the fix. It's pretty unusual to get a lower FOV while sprinting anyway.

GA feel free to drop by the DR to keep it up to speed, and maybe Attach the fix there if that suits you.

GA, when I start the FOV tool I get no enougaging results.

The main menu is zoomed in, and further the FOV in the game iself is just a white screen. While I do get audio, and can naviagte through the sub-menus, the game itself it unplayable.

Is there a certain method I should be doing? This is odd because I rememeber trying the fix a few months ago, and it worked like a charm.

Thanks.

The main menu being zoomed

The main menu being zoomed is normal, since the tool doesn't affect the menus. The white screen is obviously a problem, though. It sounds like the game version changed, causing the tool to write to incorrect offsets, but I haven't seen any news of a patch for quite a while. The Orcsmustdie.exe on my system shows version 1.0.0.2416. Is yours different?

My version says: 1.0.0.2416.

My version says: 1.0.0.2416. What do you think could be causing this?

Have you tried running it recently?

Without running the fix, the game works fine (FOV broken though). So it seems to me that the tool, in some manner, is causing the problem.

OK I had a chance to fire up the game on my main rig and test the tool. I get the same white screen problem. Something must have changed in the game, though the latest update noted in the news feed is 10-26-2011, which is long before I released the tool. Manually overwriting the offset in memory still works, so there must be some little aspect of the tool the game now dislikes. I'll work on an update when I have time, but that may not be until the weekend as I just started a new job and my workdays are ~12 hours. Will post here when I have news.

Good news!

I was messing around, and figured how to get it running. You have to start the tool while in-game. If you load the tool prior to the launching the game, the white-screen appears.

I apperciate your efforts, nonetheless, GA!

Thanks for investigating

Thanks for investigating further. That information will make it easier to update the tool, which I still plan to do. Just found out I'm working this weekend, though, so it may be a bit longer before I have the time.
