Thinking of getting 2 more TVs, need some n00b questions answered Please

Recently I saw a 32" 720p TV for just $300 and it got me to thinking maybe I could afford eyefinity finally. (I currently game on a 42" 1080p TV)
1) IF I do this, I'm mainly doing it for peripheral vision. Will it even enlarge the 90 degree field of view max currently to more? (ideally I would want 160-180ish)
2) In the interest of saving money, would you recommend putting 2 32" alongside a 42"? I've heard of people doing this, and if just for peripheral vision advantage in FPS games I would think perhaps worth it.
3) Can I set the flanking TVs to be 720p or some other lesser resolution for performance sake? (using HD5850 for Battlefield 3, and 5760x1080p it would have a tough time. Another reason I'm thinking 720p TVs instead of 1080p 42")
Thanks for reading, I know it might take a bit to answer them all thoroughly!
