Hello Everyone

I am about to get
1x http://www.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/VK278Q/
2x http://www.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/VE278Q/

and
2x http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/AMD_Series/EAH6970_DCII2DI4S2GD5/ in crossfire

I am new to all of this and this is my first time trying eyefinity , the monitors have display-ports but don't come with a display-port cable.

from what I have gathered I plug in one via display-port and 2 via dvi.

Is there any benefit in plugging them all in via display-port?

Not as far as i know, i'm

Not as far as i know, i'm running a HD6970 with 2x DVI +1x DP without any problems! well... okay... there are some problems... if your display is capped from energy, your start PC, turn Screen on energy after windows booted you might get Problems with display port cuz it wont recognise the monitor at first.

I think the only advantage DP

I think the only advantage DP have is more bandwidth. At least as much as a dual link DVI would have. Maybe more, not sure on that.
After a quick look at your posted monitors the specs call for DVI-D which is dual link. It's because they're 27" monitors, look nice too.
As for the cards they'll work (I think, from how ASUS shows it) if you don't use both the second DVI and the last DP on either card at the same time.
So it should all work.... and then some. It'll be a nice setup. :)
