Eyefinity - suddenly stopped working - broken card?

Post by moa »

Hey guys... I was successfully playing games in eyefinity for past month. Yesterday I tried to do this and a problem appeared that I was struggling all night with.

I have reinstalled all drivers using drivesweeper, tried older and newer drivers but it still kept happening. This started happening after I connected my laptop to one of the monitors, which should be completely unrelated.

Connceting monitors to different miniDP outputs does not help.

Anyone knows what is happening and how to fix it? Oh, and when I take a screenshot it all looks fine (on a screenshot). Extended desktop works well as well.

That is how my eyefinity looks now:

Please help, I'm starting to panic :(

If I'm seeing it right, the monitors are arranged incorrectly? If so, open CCC and select/Open the Desktop Management Section. , then click the first option - "Creating adn Arranging Desktops". Right-click on the display representation, and select "Arrange"

Oh, i always forget about eh CCC search function. At top-left type in "Arrange", and click the secodn result.. the arrange function will start right away.

Looks like an overheating issue. In CCC fix the fan speed on both cards to 60-70%.

This happens to my monitors

This happens to my monitors every now and then. A simple power cycling of the adapters generally work for me.
