Battlefield 3 not working with 3 way sli

So i run 3 gtx 580 3gbs and they work awesome in every game except battlefield 3. i have the newest drivers and they are constantly only using around 50-70% of the card. I cant run my nvidia surround correctly with the game when i have 3-way SLI on. also the gpu usage fluctuates massively and when it does my frame rates drop and creates an unplayable lag in the game. Has anyone found a correct sli profile for battlefield 3 yet, i have tried changing everything i can think of and nothing has helped. When i unplug my third video card the game scales awesomely at around 80-90% card usage and maxes the game out with no problems. The cards are all stable and so is all the rest of my hardware as this is my main gaming computer.

This has been driving me crazy since the game came out. i dont like spending 600$ on a video card that i cant use.

My system specs are

EVGA ftw3 Mobo
I7-960 water cooled at 4.3ghz Larkooler
3 gtx 580 3gbs
8 gigs ddr3 1600 ram

Somebody throw me a bone here plz

3-way SLI nere runs great, specially in 3D Surround, in 2D Surround game runs smoother with only two VGAs, i use Nvidia Inspector to force only SLI.

I've experienced the same

I've experienced the same with my 3x580s in surround..

It seems when it starts to drop, if I restart the game/pc, my GPU usage on all three goes up to 80%+ again instead of the 60%- it was before restarting. I found this out while trying to find the map/player count that was giving me the low GPU usage (I couldn't, because it seemed fine when I switched servers for each map). I feel like it's when the server I'm on changes to a new map, the new "load" isn't working right until I restart.

I'm gonna try just 2 cards to see how it fairs, but the reason I got 3 in the first place was because I read how awesome this game scales in Tri and even Quad SLI.

try turning off

try turning off hyperthreading in your mobo bios.
I run 3 580 3gb with an 980x @4ghz with every possible thing set to ultra and the framerate is permantly locked at 60 with only around 30 to 40% gpu usage.
and your system isnt far off mine except i use 12gigs ram, and i'm also using latest nvidia drivers.

How much RAM is BF3 using for you?

What resolution are you running?

i have already turned of HT

i have already turned of HT in bios as i was told it would help with the stuttering and it didnt help. when i run at 1920x1080 resolution the game stutters and my gpu usage is only at 23% but the game still runs 60 fps solid. My problem is when i run the game in my nvidia surround ( 5760x1080 is what i normally run but the game isnt playing well with that resolution so im using 4800x960) the low gpu usage causes the game to drop frames every few seconds for no real reason. it will go from 80% to 50% to 70% all over the place and every time it drops it cuts my fps down.

I don't think it's all that

I don't think it's all that great optimized for tri-sli.

I never drop below 60+ fps if I turn your mesh to low, even when GPU usage drops to 60%. Everything else Ultra and HBAO

running at 1920x1080 atm,

i chatted with someone from nvidia today and they said that they were unaware of any sli problems with battlefield 3 so far, that they are going to have to look into it and have no release date for a new beta driver any time soon. Which isnt looking hopefull for next weeks release of skyrim since that game doesnt even have a sli profile at the moment either. so much for me investing 1000's of dollars into their products.....
