3840 x 800 with W7

I am about to buy a 6970 for eyefinity but had a noob question.

I have a W7 64bit machine and someone told me W7 doesn't support 3840 x 800.

Is this true?

If I get a 6970 and put it in a W7 machine will I be able to run 3840 x 800 without any issues?

Hmmm... There was a similar thread earlier. But yes 3840x800 works in windows 7. I can make the group just fine, just remember it depends on your monitors native resolution.

If your monitors native res is either 1280x800 or 1680x1050 or 2560x1600 it should work.

Is there a reason you're picking such a low resolution? A 6970 would be overkill for that resolution.
