Railroad Tycoon 3 Custom Resolution ?

Hi all.

Currently, I am playing RT3 with the unofficial 1.6 patch. I know I need to edit the engine.cfg file as I found that info on an old posting on these forums, the problem is, the entry's it states to change, don't exist in my file. I was wondering if that could be because I use the 1.6 patch?

At present it runs in 1440X900 which isn't a res natively supported by my monitor so it scales and I end up losing a couple of inches of screen as it scales down to the games res.

Ideally I would like 1680x1050. I hope you can help.

Hi. Have you found out how to do this? I'm going crazy over here trying to edit the engine.cfg to set my resolution to 1680 x 1050.

I don't quite understand the guy from the other post:

Set resolution 1600x900 in game and exit game.
Next edit with hexeditor

in this file find and change entries in hex
384->41A
640->690
be careful about byte orders....

I need help with this too. However, I'm looking for 1920X1080 resolution.
