WINDOWS 7 - EASY DONE (why easy?, bcoz 3-monitor card (at hd5450) is cheapest card for 3 monitors, in windows XP I need matrox for 400$ or quadro for about 300$(but dont know if quadro can do it, will see later)

1st matrox to DVI
2nd matrox to DVI @ DSUB (single link) - (of course you can use DVI as first output as well, but I was too tired to configure it (always I dont get proper resolution on it)
3rd matrox to DP @ DSUB (single link)

Too bad I dont have active displayport @ DVI adapter yet, so from single link so I can do max 3x 800x600 = 2400x600 resolution per output
I have 3 outputs so I created 1x3 (3x3) eyefinity group (2400x1800) (of course 3x1 (9x1) can be done too, 7200x800)

I dont configure monitors bcoz dont have time for it, I made this setup for showcase and for my curiousity.

this is ATI so max can be 1440x900 per screen (2x DVI + DP @ DVI active adapter)

So overall 4320x2700.

With 5870 2gb e6 even 18 monitor setup will be possible, but too bad matrox Can do only normal landscape mode,(not even 1440x2700) then 3x2eyefinity group + 6x matrox th2go will be really 9x2.

5x1P mode will be 5x3 in verticall position of each screen

Anyway this is pointless for gaming for example bcoz we have softTH2.0 and no problem with use any quanity of independed monitors.

Not necessarily. I did some testing with SoftTH and Eyefinity. I got better performance with I used Group monitors with SoftTH (instead of just straight softTH). This may get you playable frame rates.

also I played on new NFS ;)

but 9 screens SUCKS, I will make more movies when I get some new cards, maybe on 15-21 screens :D OF COURSE WITH PROPER STAND, i calculated it and superb alu frame with cut will cost max ~70$ (for 21)

I want to make 7x5 or 9x4 setup
but still waiting for price drop on hd5770 eyefinity-5 cards (each still cost 220$, if wil lbe about 100 i can afford for 6 ;)

so then p6t7 ws + hd6990 (E5) + 6x 5770 (E5) 35 lcd on board without any matrox th2go units. and maybe later 9x5 setup with matrox's units

That is a 6:5 aspect. Wouldn't you be better off just using one big projection screen or something like that?
I mean it is cool and all that it works, but seems odd to have all the bezels when the aspect is unchanged from that of a standard single.

No offense, it just seems much like folks that want to run 3 screens in Portrait mode. It is so close to a standard 16:9, I don't really understand why one would want to. Seems they would be better to just get a big 16:9 panel. Same image, no bezels.

Same image ? Not quite... Aspect ratio isn't everything - sheer picture size and pixel count are important too. ;) And if I'm not mistaken, what duniek really wants is to push the "TH2G + cheap monitors" system to the limits.
