Best FPS with (2) gtx 460 in sli

Hey guys!
So, I am new to the wide screen gaming forum, and wide screen gaming for that matter. I have an intel duo 3.16 mhz cpu, 4gb ddr3 1333 ram, windows vista 64, gtx 460 768mb gpu, 3 Asus vh236h monitors, and a digital th2go. I have noticed that running wings of prey under a resolution of 5040 x 1050 @57hz is having fps problems in high intensive graphics portions of the game. If I drop all my graphics qualities down to low it almost disappears, but not completely. However, I want to run all the settings all on high. If I get another gtx460 768mb card and do sli will those problems go away? And if I have two cards, can I achieve the same 5040 x 1050 resolution with higher fps without the th2go? I am just trying to figure out the cheapest way to achieve seamless gaming with the hardware that I already have. Do I just need a different graphics card all together?
Thanks for the help in advance.
