They only spent $32 Million in the last 12 years on it? [$20 mill from 3D Realms, $12 mill from Take2]

Christ to think that a project can gobble up that much money in a single year...

The fact that the song is Invaders Must Die by The Prodigy only makes this video that much more epic.

Still have the Feb 1996 issue of PC Gamer UK, which in the back in the "Next Month" section, promised a full review of Duke Nukem Forever.

Even if this game is fairly poor, it'll be worth it just for the laughs. Hopefully it'll come with some modding tools, or they'll be available or whatever. The ability to mod Duke3D was one of the factors that kept me playing it for so long!

I love the un-P.C.-ness of it.

There is currently a lobbying effort underway on Gearbox's forums. However, given the record of Gearbox failing to properly support single widescreen users, I highly doubt they will add support for surround screen resolutions.

Good news is the DNF is comming to Oz unchanged, the OLFC passed it with no changes.

Just pre-ordered my balls of steel edition.

Bets on the widescreen is flawed.

Yeah, I read about that project in the local paper, it was that ghey porn project that you were heavily involved in wasn't it? :nudgenudge

It's kinda like balls of steal I suppose.

Yep. Triple HD costs lots of extra $$. All those extra gnomes required to get the pixels just right.

What on earth do you still have a gaming magazine from 15 years ago?

I have one from 7 years ago, time flys and its really not a big deal to keep. Very nostalgic to go back and look at.

I have all my magazines going back to my first subscription to Gamepro in 1991 when I was 7 years old, so I don't think it's too unusual. I just read the issue with the first of a two-part review of Final Fantasy VII, in fact, from October 1997. It's interesting to read what opinions and technology was like back then.

It's kinda fun to go back and look at what they thought was good graphics then.

It's also telling to see which games (even then) sold purely on their graphics. They're the games that no one bothers to even remember now.

I guess I don't have the same taste for nostalgia that you weirdos do. Much like sports and machismo, it's just something I've never understood... Maybe I'm slightly sociopathic or something. But don't fret - I forgive you.
