A reply from [email protected]...

Hey there Dustin,

Thanks for getting in touch and your interest in Brink! I’m not aware of any current plans to support TripleHead2go, but I’m passing this one on to our Smart Technology People.

Cheers,

Steve

For what it's worth I've already talked to one of the developers directly quite some time ago and mentioned it to him. I was mainly asking him information about the HUD in ET:QW and brought up future support in Brink. He couldn't make any promises on support but said he'd add it to the list of things to do. I'll ask him again and see if badman did mention it to him.

Don't bother buying it if they don't have it, surround is available mainstream now!

Some devs get a bit lost in translation. You might ask if Eyefintiy is supported, not TH2G. It would be useful to know if ANY triple-head resolution will work.

Cool news, PC gamers: you can set your FOV all the way up to 110. #brink
Hopefully it's the vertical FOV he's talking about, and the game is natively Hor+ (à la Crysis 2)... because 110 doesn't sound like a multi-mon-friendly HFOV.

The game was just unlocked on Steam. No Surround support to be found. I can only get single monitor resolutions.

Well that sucks. I'm glad I waited however, the D2D price had me thinking about pre-ordering...

Well, so far this game has a big thumbs down from me in terms of the PC release.

I can some what understand the lack of multi-screen support. However the intolerable oversight is the lack of SLI or Crossfire support AT ALL, even for a single screen.

To get the game to work you completely have to disable either SLI or crossfire. Something that is way... beyond a bad oversight. Even single screen gamers uses these technologies.

The AMD 11.5a hotfix drivers have a note about improving Brink performance:

AMD Catalyst™ Driver 11.5a Hotfix Feature:

Includes performance optimizations and resolves various quality issues for the upcoming release of Brink™
Resolves transcoding video lagging issues seen when converting multiple H.264 clips to MPEG2 Blu-ray video
Resolves the intermittent mouse cursor lag issue seen by some users
Resolves intermittent flickering issues seen in the following applications in a system using an AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 series graphics card with DDR3 memory and running in DirectX® 9 mode:
Civilization 5
Dead Rising 2
Fallout 3
Mafia 2
NBA 2010
ShenGuiChuanQi
Starcraft 2
Warcraft III
World of Warcraft

You can find them here: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst115ahotfix.aspx

Edit: although I suppose it needs a CAP update too.

I have pre-ordered on Steam cos there is a big push from my clan, this looks like an excellent game to scrim with all the tools included. So I hope that a) SLI support is updated and b) MM res is added. I wonder if it is a WSFixer possibility or ini edit type thing? Any clever chaps looking into this?

Found this fix.

Q. How can I setup Brink for ATI Eyefinity/Nvidia Surround/triple screen?
A. You need to edit the following commands to match your setup specifics, and put them into your autoexec.cfg (find your aspect ratio here):
seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customWidth "5760"
seta r_customHeight "1080"
seta r_aspectRatio "-1"
seta r_customAspectRatioH "16"
seta r_customAspectRatioV "3"

Sadly, since SLI bombs the game on launch, I can't even try this >.<

So, we will have the surround, but not with the SLI FPS boost?

Nope if you disable SLI you don't get surround. So multi mon only for Ati at the moment, I guess.

Well, EVGA released some sort of SLI patch for Brink. I'm going to give it a try.

Good luck, give us a quick result when you've tried it (not that it unlocks for another 2 or so days here)

Have any of you tried to create a profile for NVidia for Brink to get SLI to work? Works most the time I tried it with a bit of trial and error to get the settings right, but I have ATI now which doesn't come with its own inbuilt profile manager, so when I do get Brink I'll be playing with Radeon Pro while I record me video.
