...and a claim that cursor corruption on extended setups has been fixed. I've become quite used to them, but it'd still be nice to see it gone. Finally. I've been using 10.8 for a few hours, and have not seen it occur.. yet.

But i still have to load extended profiles twice for the display to arrange properly. It's been that way since 9.x, whatever was out in December. If someone has an extra 5870 sitting around, I'd be more than happy to test the Xfire issues.:)

From what I saw over at HardOCP the crossfire performance in AVP was actually worse. Way to go!

The profile didn't come in the release it seems. :)

Here's an updated with performance increase from [H]:

Seems there is a huge increase in several games in crossfire!

I am very happy with the update, the cursor bug was pretty annoying and I am very happy that it is fixed. With 10.7 the bug appeared very rarely but still it was there. Thanks again to the team that steadily fixes the smaller or bigger annoyances and makes the eyefinity experience as smooth as possible.

I noticed the cursor bug in 10.8 (HIS 5870 Eyefinity 6, uninstall 10.6 + DriverSweeper). It went away mostly on it's own however.

When I was sliding between monitors it disappeared on my one display. When I went to turn pointer trails on, the cursor reappeared the moment I opened the Start menu. It appears to still get corrupted, but there's now a fix in place occasionally.

Oh well, the bug is still here after all, so I guess the mention of fixing it in the release notes is just wishful thinking....

Bezel comp is still restricted to identical physical size monitors. They need to just allow us to decide and enable it always.

Are they ever going to be adding more than 3 eyefinity resolutions?

I agree. Got so frustrated I started rolling the new SoftTH 2.0 alpha this weekend. Not perfect in all situations, but it's going to be my choice for Guild Wars and Torchlight (both of which I *really* need to play more).

I'm about ready to start a 5x1-P sticky in the SoftTH forum. You in with me?

I sold my 5 23"rs. I figured that 3x30" would suffice until they start allowing for 5x1P. When that happens I'll drop another grand and buy 2 more 30"rs... I'm talking like I have 3x30"rs right now haha. I'll have my 3rd one soon, just got a real job.

EDIT: I will add what ever I can from what I remember though.

Yepp, still getting cursor corruption, god damnit. Though on center screen. Before it always occured on the left. Still only appears when using EF group. At least in-game cursors are okay.

Will we even see resilient 5x1p CF/EF support before the 7000 series (still in the hardware optimization stage)? I find myself actually hoping that they've been working on this stuff behind the scenes in a large segregated Southern Island driver development team while the 5000 series had a few obvious fixes in the spare time of a small QA team. What we've seen rolled out does not make one optimistic that EF will ever be a priority - I hope we're missing something.

No cursor corruption for me so far in 10.8 making me super happy, I used to get it all the time and only a reboot would fix it (well cursor trails is a temp fix but SC2 seems to turn them off so it I kept having to turn them back on again)

SC2 also seems to have issues causing cursor corruption, I get it on my laptop now with a 5870 card and never got it before and its the only way I get it.

..and now, for the first time with any driver release, when i load my EF profile my screens are arranged improperly. O got cursor ccorruption again, but it does seem less frequent. I guess that's a godo start. But I think I'm going to go back to 10.7. Driver crappiness has always been my one beef with ATI.I shake a fist in their general direction.
