Advice and suggestions for a new lcd monitor desired.

I am interested in a size range of 23 to 27 inches.
I am not sure it's really time to get a 120 hz or a 3d type monitor yet. What do you think? :?

Clarifications - under $1,000, no TVs, low milliseconds and would be nice to have gamma adjustment.
