List of Hor+ games that suck in SLI

These games support multi-monitor gaming one way or another, but have performance issues and/or glitches in SLI, and thus are lousy candidates for Nv Surround. Also a place to share any solutions that may arise (profiles, workarounds...). Please chime in !

[list][*]Amnesia: The Dark Descent - no SLI profile yet. Rename Amnesia.exe to Penumbra.exe.[/*:m]
[*]Left 4 Dead 2 - occasional stuttering in very intense gunfights that does not happen with SLI off.[/*:m]
[*]Splinter Cell: Conviction - no SLI profile yet. Temporary fix: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=345217#345217[/*:m]
[*]Trackmania Forever - limited performance gain and graphical artefacts with SLI enabled.[/*:m][/list:u]

Wings of Prey Surround runs flawless here...though my choice for best looking game in Surround so far is Bad Company Battlefield 2. The swirling weather effects make the game so immersive, and the shoot and move mechanics are perfect, the game looks awesome and just plays "right". Only game I have not been able to get to work in Surround so far is Ghostbusters (though it works with TH2Go and SoftTH).

I'm getting some weird "chop" in Left for Dead 2 again, like stuttering, which happens especially if I am firing an automatic weapon during a very intense fight... seems like it's a known SLI bug tho.. I used to be able to disable SLI to fix that but that's not an option now.... I don't play the game much any more, and it's not too bad, only when things get very busy.. everything else I play seems to run very well...

Cool, maybe this was fixed in recent nv drivers (I'm still on 197.41). WoP is off the list.
There's a fix for Conviction that works great, see first post.

Has anyone got GTX IV running in Surround?

It loads to the menu, but just 'loads' a game forever and ever...I went to make dinner just to make sure and 30 minutes later it was still "loading".

GTA IV ? Yes it runs fine in surround, loading time here like 15 or 20 secs. Maybe you could try to apply the latest patch again and see how it goes.

Was the Steam version.

The issue was VRAM. Swap in 2GB cards, does Surround no problem at all!

Added a workaround for Amnesia TDD. Does it help with the severe performance issues some ppl are experiencing ?

Bioshock 2 in Surround (SLI or non-SLI) flashes with horrible artifacts. Oddly, running it in windowed mode solved it for me, but the frames take a pretty good hit.

Wings of Prey went completely pear-shaped on me. It used to work fine, then one day, it stopped working in Surround. It spends about two minutes struggling to start up, dropping in and out of 3D clocks to 3D low power clocks, trying to reload itself, appearing and disappearing on the left monitor - strangest shit I've ever seen. Reinstalling didn't help, either.

I didn't have any problems loading GTA IV in Surround on two GTX 470s, but that game looks terrible with its lack of AA.

@wazoo: What is "Surround non-SLI" :?:
@matrices: is the WoP profile still present in the nvidia cp ? Sometimes driver updates don't include some or all profiles, so if you perform a clean install, you lose all of them. That wouldn't explain all your problems, but it's all I can think of right now...

New drivers finally up, and still no SLI profiles for Apache: Air Assault and NFS:HP3. Both games suffer terrible performance loss when SLI is enabled.

SLI is only working when in full-screen I think. So it probably fixed it that way,

Hot Pursuit has to be the worst game I purchased in 2010. The stills look great for the game but the playability is 100% crap for me.

The more I hear people talk about it, the more I feel glad I returned it without opening it.
