Call of Duty - World at War runs at 5040x1050 but squished

Hello All,
It baffles me the CoD-WaW runs great at 5040x1050 but it's all squished like it takes the 1680x1050 and stretches it.
Has anyone ever had this and resolved it? I saw one other person but I dont know if he ever resolved it.
Please help.
