Rico Rodriguez returns, ready to wreak havok across the roads, reefs and rugged regions of tropical Panau. JC2 is a DX10-only GTA-like gone haywire thanks to the combination of a propelled grappling hook and an infinitely deployable parchute.

Does the FOV Factor trick fix the QTE issues?

Edit: answered my own question by reading through the thread. Changed the link to go to the page with specific info on the FOV QTE hack.

I agree with your assessment that surround support should be graded as a blemish. The ideal solution causes issues that are more than aesthetic and persist throughout gameplay, which would be considered a consequential flaw if it affected widescreen.

Grade: B+

Surround issues are a blemish.

The hijack QTE prompt bug may have been fixed in the July 2010 1.0.2 patch (the game's splash screen will show 1.0.0.2 if you have this patch):

"Fix to display quicktime prompts correctly when running in Eyefinity mode."

http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=102151

Since the game can't be legitimately played without automatically being updated, the report should probably be revised if the issue is indeed fixed.

We'll need some comparison shots to confirm this.

Sorry for the belated update, check the DR for new multi-mon screenies (patched game, default fov).
Connoisseurs will notice that the sides of the map screen are now properly hidden, and yes, the QTE prompt issue is fixed:

3840x800, default fov (no /fovfactor parameter)

Not sure why 'original quality' option shows green screen, but playback settings on fullscreen @ 1080p looks OK
