Horizontal and Vertical Frequencies question

I have an LG W2600H (26") and the frequencies are as follows;

Horizontal Freq. 30 - 83 kHz (Automatic)
Vertical Freq. 56 - 75 Hz (Automatic)

I sent in an email to LG technical support asking if I can run my monitor at 75hz. They stated yes!

BUT shouldn't it only run at 60hz? Will 75hz ruin it?

Thanks.

Update ... well LG tech is wrong. lol

Just use the highest that Windows offers you. Right-click desktop - Screen Resolution - Advanced Settings - Monitor. Available resolutions will be listed in the pull-down menu.

some asus monitors allow you to run at their stated refresh rate ...but at a lower resolution

try scaling down a little, might help ?

1920x1200 to 1680x1050 etc etc
