/rant=on ' Well ATI drivers don't look like they will be supporting TH2GO now... Suppose it's a marketing ploy for 'EyeFinity' forcing me to upgrade / sell my hardware aint gonna make me buy it.' /rant=off
So here my situation...
I have my rig nicely setup custom monitor stand made by my good self... 3 * 19" monitors, and my Triple Head 2 GO giving me an atmospheric surround gaming experience..
The card I have? and now have to grudgingly confess that it's has been Awsome is a Gainward 4870 x2 2GB that I picked up off eBay for £170.
Thing is I'm now stuck on v9.8 drivers and can't see ATI supporting the 3840x1024 resolution anymore.....
Course ATI say that it's not upto to them to support Matrox Devices (The TH2GO by all intense and purposes is seen as a monitor by hardware). It's the Resolution they aren't supporting so that's b......
So what to do. I mean the 4870 X2 still keeps up with the 295 at half the cost BUT it isn't DX11 compatible.
Do I sell on while the price is still high for the card still going for £160 - 190 on FleaBlag.
Any recommendations for cards???
Will have around £200 notes so I will probably have to go back in performance.
Really Really mythed by ATI and there drivers....
P.S. Only Nvidia for me now. ATI have lost my loyalty
