Someone told me that a higher end cable for a monitor with only 60hertz would be a waste so I'm wondering how much should I spend. this flatron W2453V is what I got

I use the monitor for gaming and watching movies. thanks for any advise.

I use a 15ft version of that Monoprice cable, and it's great. Very good quality. And literally 1/10th of what Futureshop charges.

I buy pretty much the cheapest HDMI cables and they seem to work fine, its digital so unless 1s and 0s are getting lost you should be fine with cheapos which are basically as good as monster brand ones.

If you running over 10 feet maybe step up to a medium gauge monoprice one, but otherwise just stick to cheap ones especially with the limited bandwidth a single screen at 60hz needs.

If you decide to buy from monoprice dig around for any other random cables you may need, the first cables shipping costs a lot (seems like it starts around 5 bucks) I have added tons of extra stuff and had the shipping only go up a few bucks)
